Our Partner Projects

Haygrove Community Gardens Charity works with partner organisations to support existing and new ventures. We are always looking for new gardens to partner with – so please contact us if we can help you!

Eaton Barn

A chance meeting with a former employee of Haygrove in 2015 led to a productive partnership with Eaton Barn. This meeting inspired Haygrove to get involved and support the project with volunteer work parties, structural work and equipment. Now a project of local learning disability charity ECHO, Eaton Barn Community Garden is a 4-acre site bordering the River Lugg, with vegetable garden, fruit trees, a wildlife area, chickens and green woodworking space, as well as allotments and a shop which are well used by the local community. The garden enables people with learning disabilities and mental health needs with therapeutic and educational activities, supported by a team of staff and volunteers.

Eaton Community Garden can be contacted via ECHO on 01568 620307 https://www.echoherefordshire.org.uk/services/eaton-barn/

Aspire Growing

Tucked away behind Widemarsh Common in the former grounds of Moor House in Hereford, is Aspire Growing. Now run by learning disability charity Aspire, in partnership with Widemarsh Children’s Centre, the garden occupies a 4 acre site with polytunnels, a greenhouse and classroom and apple trees, vegetable beds, and soft fruits which supply the adjoining café. This garden is also run by people with learning disabilities, paid staff and volunteers.
