Ledbury Community Garden

We have always wanted to set up a new community garden in Ledbury, which is our home and our base. Many of Haygrove’s workers are based in Ledbury and enthusiasm for a local project is high. Finding a site has not been easy, so we have decided to start working in the Ledbury area to forge links with the local community and establish a gardening group at local business the Nest. This exciting partnership will be a series of accessible tabletop gardening sessions, held every Thursday at The Nest site, aimed at old and young alike. We hope that from this venture we will inspire and encourage people in the Ledbury area to join us on our quest to provide an amazing new community garden, locally.

Our tabletop gardening group is held on Thursdays, 10:30-12:00 at The Nest, Hereford Road, Ledbury HR8 2PZ.

Newent Community Wilding Project

Newent in Gloucestershire is the site of our second new project. Bordering the Ell Brook is a beautiful meadow, a wildlife haven on the edge of this historic Gloucestershire town. We will be managing the site for wildlife and conservation, hosting organised visits from schools and community groups. Working with community partners in Newent we will be providing activities to include mindfulness walks, bug trails, pond dipping, and wildlife walks – and that’s just the start!
